Fun spooky treats

My rule for Halloween treats: it can’t LOOK gross and it can’t TASTE gross. No cookies that look like bloody bandaids, no cookies that taste like the box the Halloween costumes came in. These are festive enough for the kids but I promise you’ll be happy when they leave with their stash of Laffy Taffy and let you have these all to yourself.

You know that one person who wins the chili cook off every year and how insufferable they are? Get ready to become them when you start making chili worthy of the blue ribbon. (Just don’t try it in Texas with any of these recipes…I like beans and I’m not afraid to say it.)

If you aren’t into eating straight up candy from a child’s pumpkin bucket, make a pumpkin dessert for the party that’s way better than any Hershey bar or lollipop.
